Prance Corporation was founded in 1994 by Allison Pobrislo as a means of providing easily accessible, yet sophisticated, information to skiers. A lifelong skier herself, Pobrislo developed these applications to make orientation on the mountain simple and intuitive. "It revolves around basic visual communications: information, maps and lights -- all of which can instinctively guide and inform you. A resort can be overwhelming for skiers trying to orient themselves and find groomed terrain. Prance live maps, trail status and Prance Networks give them the information they need." Now, at a glance, skiers can find real-time trail info, groomed terrain and lift status.

A Colorado native, Allison spent a year of high school in Europe where she became fluent in French. She graduated from American University in Washington, DC with a degree in International Diplomacy, and spent a year traveling worldwide on Semester at Sea. Allison worked for the Honorable Timothy Wirth, US Congress and later at the French Embassy with the current French Foreign Minister, Dominique de Villepin. She later returned to France for small assignments where she began exploring technology applications in transportation and skiing. Prance systems are now live at several top tier US and European resorts. With a new product focus on broadcasting, Allison recently attended the Baron / Brown School of Directing and Screenwriting in Los Angeles.
